In many cases, when you are shopping for tapes for your label
maker, you will see descriptions that say the labels should be applied to
smooth, flat surfaces. Of course, there are times when you need to use a label
on a surface that is not flat. That is when products like Brother's TZe-FX231
tapes come into play. This is a 1/2" black on white flexible tape that is
perfect when you need apply labels to wires, cables or cords. TZe-FX231 tapes
feature Brother’s exclusive laminated tape process and has a specially
formulated adhesive.

This adhesive is designed to stick to itself as well as to the
laminate. If you have a large supply of cables or PVC piping and need to label
them for identification purposes, using this tape is a much better option than
trying to apply a traditional label this is better suited for a flat surface.
Note that this tape is ½” (12mm) by 26’ (7.9M) long.
